love of the game

(Duke vs University of Oregon game last October)

Something most people don't know about me is that I'm an avid college basketball fan.  I've been going to games since before I could walk.  My love of the game has increased since moving in with my Mom.  She is a diehard fan.  We are hopping on a plane to Vegas Wednesday morning to attend the West Coast Conference Tournament.  We will have the pleasure of seeing our favorite team Gonzaga play as well as other great teams.  GO ZAGS!

Also, my super awesome cousin, Jen, is putting us up for the week.  Bonus!  I can't wait to see her.

I'm giving Ramsey loads of hugs.  I've never been away from the little guy for more than a few days.  I'll try not to miss him too much.

PS: My Etsy shop will remain open while I'm away.  I'll be checking in during half time.  ;)

snow, snow, snow

I awoke to find a glorious winter wonderland this morning.  I couldn't resist going outside to play in the fresh powder.

I'm quite proud of my snow jackalope wearing a daffodil boutonniere.

ready for spring

I snapped a few shots yesterday while running errands.  The weather has been beautiful this week.  Hope I didn't just jinx it.

I stopped by the post office to ship a few orders and get my mail.  We don't have mail carriers here in the sticks.
I love the texture of these leaves.
Ivy has taken over the north side of Wheeler Station Antiques.

What's the weather like in your neck of the woods?
Are you as eager for spring as I am?

current obsession: sarah jurado

My latest obsession is photographer Sarah Jurado.  I can't get enough of the photographs she shot while on a european tour with her husband last fall.  I love the mix of vast landscapes and intimate moments.  She was kind enough to share a few of her favorite shots.

farewell josephine mabel

My dear old friend Joie passed away in her sleep Monday morning.  She was a happy and loving little beagle.  I have very fond memories of her: playing hide and seek, walking on the beach and cozying up on the couch.  I miss her dearly.

month of mail art

In January, I mailed a letter each day to a friend or family member.  I couldn't decide who would receive the last letter.  So, I'm offering the letter to a lucky reader.  Visit my facebook page to enter the giveaway.  The winner will receive a personal thank you card and upcycled envelope.  Giveaway ends Thursday, February 3rd at 12am PST.
