treasury: coastal casual

I just put together a collection of items celebrating small coastal communities.  While creating this treasury I stumbled upon some beautiful baskets of all shapes and sizes by jasper jane.  Her work is incredible.

Here are a few treasuries I'm diggin' these days...

Is there a treasury or item on Etsy you're drooling over?

The Alberta Street Fair was an interesting event.  The festivities extending from 9th to 30th Avenue.  Unfortunately, there weren't enough vendors to fill all those blocks.  My booth was on the corner of 25th Ave.  There were only 5 or 6 booths on the entire block.  I felt like I was in no man's land.  It was tough to grab people's attention.  Although it was kind of a bust...I greatly enjoyed people watching and chatting with my booth partners, Jenny and Matt.  Plus, when I was setting up this cute gray cat showed up.  He thought my table was a cool fort.  He was a sweet little guy.  He visited us throughout the day.  I decided he was out booth mascot and named him Gray Cat.

Hi, friend!
I decided to use my suitcase to display buttons and notebooks.
I'd like to incorporate more suitcases in my set up.
I forgot to take pictures of Jenny's beautiful jewelry display.  Oops.

He was bummed when it was time to tear down.  He was sleeping under my table.

takin' it easy

I had grand plans for this week.  I was going to make new stationery, update my etsy shop, write a couple blog posts and trim my bangs.  Unfortunately, early Monday morning I came down with the flu.  So, I've been laying in bed with my cat all week watching 21 Jump Street, reading books by Michael Connelly and cruising the interweb.

Here are some internet gems I discovered:
180 square foot cabin in British Columbia
Handmade gold oxford flats
Liquid pencil by Sharpie
Huge sale on screen printed goods by slide sideways

Well, I'm off to Portland on Saturday for the Alberta Street Fair.  I wish I was in better health for my last event of the summer.  Oh well.  What can you do?  If you're in the area stop by and say hello!  Don't worry...I'm no longer contagious. :)

I'm psyched to be sharing a booth at the Alberta Street Fair with my new pal, Jenny of Seahag and Walrus.

Stop by and say hello!

new stationery

I've been busy lately stocking my shop with lots of new folding notes and envelopes.

My friends Franz and Sherry own an adorable bookstore in Manzanita called Ekahni Books.  They own thousands of books.  The inventory at their shop is just the tip of the iceberg.  They were kind enough to let my mom and me peruse the piles of books at their house yesterday.  We found some great stuff.  I can't wait to start making stationery out of them.  I'll keep you posted.
