Recently, I unearthed an altered book I made about six years ago. It's a bit like reading an old diary, melodramatic and cringe worthy. Enjoy!

new: memoir art cards
I'm so excited to introduce my latest line of cards called Memoir! Each card features a page or image from my visual journals. These journals contain my experiences and observations presented through collages, paintings, scribbles and doodles. I'm happy to share a few pages with you!
Memoir Art Cards are available in sets and individually.
Each card comes with a 100% recycled brown kraft envelope and 1" envelope seal.

visited my hometown
A few weeks ago, I visited my friend Adrian in Salem. We hang out at Clockworks Cafe and collaged for a couple hours. I came equipped with a bag full of bits of paper, found photos, japanese masking tape, and pens. We played with the materials and caught up. There's nothing like making art with an old friend.
He stamped his forehead as I snapped this picture. What a joker.
Before I headed home, we took a stroll at Riverfront Park.
Hopefully, another year won't pass before we hang out again.
traveling journal #4860
I'm currently contributing to a traveling journal via the 1001 Journals project. The website was started by the artist, Someguy, after his 1000 Journals project took off. My friend, Sky, told me about the 1000 Journals documentary last year. She knew it would be right up my alley.
After watching the documentary, I joined the 1001 Journals website. Months past and I forgot all about it. Two weeks ago I received an email from Marta. She let me know that I was next in line to receive Journal #4860! The journal arrived last week. Over the weekend, I read what others had written and scanned all of the completed pages. Then I dug out my watercolors, india ink, glue stick and scraps of paper. I spent the weekend watching crappy suspense thrillers and creating. It felt really good to get my hands dirty.

two days left
I'd share the inspiration behind the covers of my proposed line of notebooks, planners and address books. A few months ago I was preparing to shoot my kickstarter video with Dylan Priest. My initial idea was to prepare a mood board to convey the look and feel of my project. A few days before the shoot, I was frantic. The mood board wasn't coming together. It felt forced. I pulled out my sketchbook from last year in hopes of drawing inspiration. As I flipped the pages a light bulb turned on. The book was full of collages that perfectly communicated the feel I was going for. I scanned my favorite pages and printed them as covers for the prototypes. I look forward to producing and selling them in my etsy shop.

My much anticipated mini zine, Rebels, is finally completed.
